Narromine Racecourse is considered one of the best courses in the Western Racing Association. The fact that a community of its size can maintain and operate a racecourse on a regular basis is a testament to the commitment to horse racing the local community has.

Races run at the 1000 metres have a short run to the first turn making inside barriers a big advantage. It has a track circumference of 1667 metres and a home straight of 313 metres long. The track caters for starts from 800 metres through to 1600 metres.

The existing running rail will be replaced later this year with a new state-of-the-art running rail.
